This Sew Cosy workshop is all about learning how to sew your own pair of elasticated waist trousers from scratch, the kind you reach for again and again. Comfy, versatile, and completely custom to you.
Perfect if you’re new to sewing, want to build confidence with a sewing machine, or are ready to try using a pattern for the first time.
What you’ll make
A finished pair of elasticated waist trousers.
We’ll use a simple, beginner-friendly pattern as a base, one you can remake again and again in different fabrics, whether that’s classic PJs, relaxed daywear, or something in between.
You’ll leave with a wearable garment and the confidence to keep sewing.

This one-day workshop guides you step-by-step through the full process, from cutting fabric to sewing seams and finishing a comfortable elasticated waistband.
No pressure to be perfect, just clear instruction, plenty of support, and time to enjoy the making.
Think: sewing, learning new skills, a friendly atmosphere, and leaving with something properly wearable.

What to bring
Bring fabric suitable for the trousers you’d like to make (light–medium weight woven fabrics work best, such as cotton, shirting, or similar), plus matching thread if you prefer, or you’re welcome to use mine.
Full fabric requirements will be sent after booking.
Please bring your own lunch for the break.

When: Saturday 9th May 10am – 3pm (with a 30-minute lunch break)
