As part of Macclesfield Textile Week 2026, join Z in the Attic and The Button Warehouse for a relaxed evening workshop where you’ll create your own detachable statement collar from reclaimed materials saved from landfill.
Your collar base will be pre-cut from worn-out jeans that were too ripped, stained, or damaged to keep wearing. Each one is backed with remnant 100% British wool from local business Modern Woolfare.
You’ll then make it completely your own using a huge selection of vintage and reclaimed buttons sourced from charity shops, old collections, and forgotten button tins before hand-finishing the edges yourself.
No two collars will ever be the same.
No sewing experience needed — this workshop is designed to be relaxed, beginner-friendly, and creative.
